I have twice had surgery done by Dr. Lisa Brand from Camarillo General Surgery. She is top notch and will be my go to surgeon for myself and my family. Additionally I would recommend her to friends who are looking for potential surgeons without hesitation. The first surgery was an appendectomy for which I went through the ER and Saint Johns Pleasant Valley. Dr. Brand came to give me a consolation prior to the procedure and put me at ease and had fantastic bed side manner. The second operation was a hernia repair in which I requested Dr. Brand when seeking the authorization from my insurance for the surgery. Once again she made everything seem smooth and easy. To no surprise, my surgery went well and my recovery is going smoothly. As an added bonus, Dr. Brand called my wife shortly after performing the surgery to let her know how it went and what to expect in those first few days of recovery. I had not asked for her to make this phone call, she did it on her own. This is the kind of care we should expect from all of our medical professionals. Dr. Brand has set a high standard that will always be my basis for comparison for all physicians I encounter.
